Red Galaxy Pinto Shrimp

Galaxy Pinto Shrimp attract attention given their unique, galaxy-like white speckles and limited availability. Costing between $25 and $200, price is based upon color, size, and sex. This species is a cross between Tiger and Taiwan Bee Shrimp, a combination which renders it difficult to replicate. Colors include both black and red, though the latter generally fetches a higher price, a trait similar to Crystal Red and Red Cherry Shrimp. Superb specimens, marked by abundant white specks and scarce black/red hues, can cost up to $400 each.

CARING -
Caridina shrimp require a lower PH then Neocaridina shrimp. Please ensure your water is up to the correct parameters. We recommend keeping them in hard water with a gH of at least 7 for them to show the most color. Aquarium should be fully cycled before introducing any shrimp. There should be no trace of any Ammonia or Nitrite. Nitrate should be under 25ppm. Weekly or bi-weekly water change of 10-20% is suggested to keep the nitrate low. Feed only 2-3 times a week as overfeeding will cause shrimp death.
