Cherry Red Shrimp
Cherry Red Shrimp
Our selectively-bred cherry shrimp feature striking red pigmentation, though their colors may fade during shipping. This is due to the stress of the journey and the darkness of the shipping box. As veteran inhabitants of the aquarist's tank, cherry shrimp are easy to acclimate and care for. If you're a beginner looking for robust shrimp to establish a clean-up crew, amano shrimp are the most hardy shrimp variety we offer.
CARING - Cherry shrimp are easy to care for as they can adapt to a wide range of water parameters, they can be kept in either soft or hard water. We recommend keeping them in hard water with a gH of at least 6 for them to show the most color. Aquarium should be fully cycled before introducing any shrimp. There should be no trace of any Ammonia or Nitrite. Nitrate should be under 25ppm. Weekly or bi-weekly water change of 10-20% is suggested to keep the nitrate low. Feed only 2-3 times a week as overfeeding will cause shrimp death.
